And so, the curtain has come down on another memorable season and it's all thanks to you, our unwavering customers. Your support, encouragement and words of wisdom have kept up going throughout 2025.
And as we go for a well earned break (and off on our travels) we'll soon start to prepare for next season, a heartfelt thank you goes out to each and everyone of you that walked through our doors this year - customers old and new, staff and family members alike and those that discovered us for the first time.
A good friend of mine said to me just a few days ago 'well done on making it through another season'. There's no denying that it's a tough business but it's also a great business. As I've said countless times before - every day our doors are open is a privilege and it's still a pleasure to come to work (even after 14 years!). Please understand that we never take your custom for granted and that your trust in us means the world.
So here's to an even better 2026, Merry Christmas to one and all and one final toast if I may - that the roadworks are finished by the time we return (but am not holding my breath)!

We are a seasonal, family run cafe open from mid-March through to the beginning of November.
Cafe Riva offers a relaxed environment with plenty of parking, serving breakfasts all day, snacks, freshly made espresso coffee and cakes.
A stylish outlet, located in the magnificent Kip Marina the cafe is named in homage to the classic Riva Aquarama speedboat first built in 1962, its classic lines, mahogany hull, sheer beauty and speed evoking an era of by gone elegance and impeccable taste.
Take time out and cast your eye over the impressive yachts or sit outside and people watch as they tend to their boats. On those crisp clear days why not walk or cycle along the many picturesque seaside paths, admiring the views and spotting wildlife. By the time you reach us at Cafe Riva you'll have earned your hot chocolate and marshmallows if it gets a little chilly! We also offer a huge selection of hand-crafted milk shakes, iced coffees and smoothies for those summer treats.
Everything we cook is made fresh to order and just how you like it. Our soup is prepared in house every day and we have a wide variety of traditional home baking cakes including empire biscuits, almond square and fruit slices. Our coffee is famous for miles around. We have been using Pellini coffee for over 25 years, regarded as one of Italy's best loved blends and recognised in the industry for quality and artisanal craft. Our famous square slice is locally sourced from award winning butcher A.D. Paton of Largs!
We prefer cash but credit, debit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay are accepted.
We offer sit in and take away and we now have an outside decking area where dogs are welcome.

During periods of peak business please understand that there may be a more significant wait time than normal, on occasion we may have to close the kitchen to temporarily restock and regroup, plus it may not always be possible to answer the phone. The reason is that all our food is cooked fresh and to order.
Especially during holidays and weekends if you are in a hurry we suggest the best time to ensure on time service would be between 10am to 12pm.
